Normally done on a mat, fully clothed, Thai massage combines relaxation, muscle relief, and stretching all in one modality. The technique involves lots of compressions and circular presses towards the heart center to promote blood flow. The body is moved and stretched by me as you relax, allowing yourself to release the tension.
Throughout the massage, I work along the meridians in your body that connect all throughout, spreading from limbs to major organs. By doing so, it helps unblock any energy that may be gravitating to one spot. This leaves you feeling more energized and rested after the session.
Benefits of Thai Massage
This modality is best for people that want to bring mobility in their life and feel fatigued on the normal. My style tends to be slower and more relaxing, rather than faster. It's meant to put you in the state of rest to promote your bodies natural healing.
A faster style can be done to help recover from an injury or to prepare for an upcoming athletic event, to help promote blood flow to the injured area.
I recommend this modality for someone that is comfortable with releasing control of the body. This is to help me maneuver your limbs to help stretch and apply pressure with hands or feet. This is to help release the tension in your body and bring mobility without resistance to get the full benefit.
